Service Fees

In-Office/Video Appointments

  • Free Consultation: A 15-minute telephone consultation is provided at no cost.

  • Initial Evaluation: $200 per 60 minutes

  • Couples or Family Psychotherapy Sessions: $185 per 50 minutes

  • Individual Psychotherapy Sessions: $175 per 45-50 minutes

  • Sliding scale is offered for sessions with Associate Marriage and Family Therapists under the clinical supervision of Leya Solis, MA, LMFT

Special Sessions

  • Commuter Fee for in-home sessions within 20 miles of the office: inquire for pricing

  • One-Day Couples Workshop: $395 per couple

Payment Methods

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Visa

  • Venmo

  • Zelle

A card is required on file to schedule appointments, and it will be charged within 24 hours of your appointment.
For payments via cash, Venmo, or Zelle, payment is collected at the beginning of each session.

Telehealth Services

While face-to-face sessions are preferred, telehealth video appointments are available for clients who are unable to attend in person. These sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

Client Portal

Existing clients can access billing invoices and statements via the client portal.

Insurance

Illuminate Psychotherapy™ accepts the following insurance providers:

  • Lyra Health

  • Medi-Cal (straight Medi-Cal)

  • CalOptima

For private pay clients, Illuminate Psychotherapy™ can provide a Super Bill to submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement. (Available for PPO plans with Out-of-Network benefits.)

A Super Bill includes detailed information like the provider’s credentials, license number, diagnosis, service dates/times, and the session fee.

Insurance Coverage Verification

Before contacting your insurance provider, ensure you have the following information:

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Insurance ID number

  • Address of the policyholder

When you call, be sure to ask:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • How many therapy sessions are covered per year?

  • Will a Super Bill be accepted for reimbursement?

California’s Mental Health Parity Act (as amended in 2020) requires all state-regulated commercial health plans and insurers to provide full coverage for the treatment of all mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

Cancellation Policy

A 24-hour notice is required for cancellations. Failure to cancel within 24 hours or no-show results in full session charges.
Insurance will not reimburse for missed or canceled sessions.

Consistent participation is crucial to benefit from therapy. Please be mindful of your scheduled appointment time, as your session is reserved specifically for you.
